Established in 1971, Newport Tent Company is a family owned and operated tent Rental Company servicing Southern New England and its surrounding areas. The company provides tents, tables, chairs and hardwood ballroom dance floors as well as basic tent lighting. They can tent for large and small events, parties, commencements, weddings and so much more. You shouldn’t think “typical rental company” when you think of Newport Tent Company. Some of the table options and dance floors you can rent are designed and crafted in-house. Newport Tent offers personalized services and has great relationships with many vendors. Want to put a dance floors over a pool, a large tent across a pier? No problem. With over 45 years of experience making their mark on both clients and the region at large, there is nothing it can’t do to transform an outdoor space.
Greater Newport has become the perfect backdrop for the company’s growth and success. The region’s unique qualities – its historic sites and architecture, breathtaking beaches, ocean side views and outdoor recreation amenities, to name a few – attract millions each year. Because of the area’s vibrant tourism industry, Newport Tent Company is constantly updating its inventory to meet the growing needs of the business. Their main warehouse is located on Portsmouth, RI, with additional warehouse locations to store their trucks and tents throughout the area.
Throughout the summer, you’ll see Newport Tent Companies trucks along city streets and lining open areas. The company is nearing 100 part and full-time employees, recently hiring around 70 people to accommodate demand during its peak season filled with weddings, parties and commencements. New hires include high school students taking advantage of its summer job opportunities and foreign exchange students working and exploring all Greater Newport has to offer. Jen Pinheiro, Director of Sales and Marketing, has worked for Newport Tent for over 11 years and speaks very highly of the company.
